Back from the wilderness...

...I've got a new day job. I'm a white van man. I deliver tables and chairs to customers. I prefer it to my last day job where I sat in front of a computer all day, answering the phone. But, I don't get to do all the things I used to do like keep my blog up to date.

A lot has happened in the past couple of months.

We've got a new drummer. James Garnett. He's quality!! Had our first gig with him last night at the metro club.

Our USA tour in August seems to be off :-( This is due to the price of working permits. We're extending our Canada tour. We'll be in Canada from 6th - 16th June. Doing gigs in Toronto, Ottowa and Montreal including the North By NorthEast Showcase.

We're down to the last 3 finalists in an unsigned band competition called The Brit Bus Tour. The idea of this is to bring UK music to the USA. Anyway, The American audience vote for their favourite unsigned band. I'm not sure how you vote otherwise I'd post the link. The competition is quite high profile I believe and it's in conjunction with Fuse TV, SIRIUS Radio, CBS The Early Show, and Filter Magazine. If anyone hears of this and knows how to vote for it please let me know!!!

Hi Sam, glad things are looking up. I used to lift a lotta tables and chairs, old English ones that is.

The BritBus Tour was just here a few days ago. Although, their web site is a trip, it says Vote for Your Favorites, but then there is nowhere on the page to vote. Would vote for ya if I could figure it out. You're gonna win anyway, relax. Then we will definitely see you in the states right?

Good Luck with the new job and with the contest.

Hey Sam, you know when I heard The Vibrants last winter I really was inspired to write a few Vibrants style rock n'n roll pieces. I've finally got one recorded! Of course it's nothing like The Vibrants in the end but maybe the inspiration is clear. It's on the Plum Flower MySpace site. It's called 'Inversion'
