Feel I Should Write Something...

...As I haven't done so for ages. I never feel like I've got anything to write about...

We did a gig last night at a place called The Fez Club in Putney, London. It was alright. Nothing to set the world alight. The headline band pulled out at the eleventh hour so we ended up being the headline act. We don't mind doing this but we always prefer being the support act so we can go off stage, have a beer and then watch another band.

We've got a another 'big' gig coming up on St Patrick's day. The Hope & Anchor in Islington. The place is tiny and we don't all fit on the stage but when I say 'big' I mean important. There are a couple of a&r guys coming down and also journos who want to review our live show. So we desperately want to fill the place. Any Londoners out there? Please come!

We're getting good reviews for our EP. Strangely it's getting a lot of comparisons to Elvis Costello. I don't think that's a bad thing.

The drummer search is continuing. We thought we'd found one, had a few drinks with him, great bloke. Then we jammed with him and it didn't work. It didn't have the same 'crisp' feel. The guy was a good rock drummer with a very unique style but something wasn't right.

We've been asked to play at the North By North East music showcase in Toronto, Canada in June as well as the Pennsylvania festival in August. Man, I need to do some saving up!

I don't hear Elvis Costello in your guys music but I would consider it a compliment.

The first thing I thought of was the Jam but as I've heard other tracks I'd say that's a very rough comparison. You guys are just really good. A pure hard driving rock 'n' roll drawing from the traditions of bands like The Jam but also like Mott the Hoople, T-Rex, the Stones, The Kinks, even Deep Purple maybe. But I'm just talkin'... blogging instead of working on tracks!

Many influences come out of your band, but also I really feel you guys are doing your own thing and that is what I like about your band. Hell all music was written in the classical age. We have just been nicking it along the way.

Joeboy is right. Mozart wrote everything already! It's true! Take a couple of days out to listen to the piano sonatas. Dissonance is the only color left after Mozart.
Enter Beethoven...
